overview

Restored to its early 1900s pre-electric character, this two-story, rustic seaside cottage features tastefully simple rooms and furnishings. A 1940 glacial-stone fireplace is the centerpiece of the interior. Water is hand-pumped from a spring, lighting is by kerosene lamp, and a woodstove serves for heating and cooking. The restoration provides guests an escape from the fast pace of modern life to the quiet recreational experience of 100 years ago.
